About the project:

Wobbledogs is a 3D pet simulation sandbox where you raise your own personal hive of mutating dogs, physically simulated all the way down to their guts.

The two main problems The Polygon Loft was faced with in porting Wobbledogs from PC to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and XBox was: Optimising the complex simulations working behind the scenes and adapting the UI and UX to better serve the console experience.

Our UI and UX team analysed market segmentation of console players that intersect games like Wobbledogs and redesigned the interface and flow to better suite these players and accomadate the translation from keyboard and mouse to controller.

Our code team is comprised of mathematicians, console experts and programmers with deep knowledge of the Unity engine. We combined our brightest and best for this project to adapt the numerous complex simulations driving this game to work on console, with Nintendo Switch requiring innovative solutions to work.

Project cost and development was reduced as we utilised our PolyPlatform library - a collection of technologies that can be reused across porting projects.
